This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies ledctrl.com uses, what they do, and how to control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website places on your device. They let a site keep track of things between page loads — a preference you set, a security check you passed, or an anonymous identifier that tells the site owner how the site is being used. Similar technologies such as local storage and tracking pixels do much the same job.

What we use, and why

The cookies on this site fall into three groups.

Strictly necessary

Set by WordPress, the software this site runs on, and by our security checks. They keep the site working — page delivery, form submission and abuse prevention — and cannot be switched off without breaking it. Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our enquiry forms from automated spam, sits in this group.

Functional

Set by the page builder and interactive elements we use, including our product configurator and 3D and map viewers. They remember choices you make within a session so a tool behaves consistently while you use it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, connected through Google Site Kit, and Jetpack site statistics. These tell us which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, what device they use, and which site referred them. We use this to decide what to improve. The information is aggregated — we do not use it to identify you personally.

Cookies set by others

Some parts of the site load content from third parties, and those parties may set their own cookies when the content loads:

  • Google Maps — the office map in our footer.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — spam protection on our enquiry forms.
  • Google Analytics / Search Console — via Google Site Kit.
  • Jetpack and Akismet (Automattic) — site statistics and spam filtering.
  • Embedded video or documents, where a page includes them.

We do not control these cookies. Their use is governed by the provider’s own policy — see Google’s privacy policy and Automattic’s privacy policy.

Managing cookies

You can see, block and delete cookies through your browser settings — every major browser has a privacy or site-data section for this, and most offer a “do not track” signal and a private browsing mode. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of this site working, including our enquiry forms.

To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, Google publishes a browser add-on that works across all sites you visit.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the tools we use change. The version published on this page is the current version, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
