This policy explains what personal information LED CTRL collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. It covers ledctrl.com only.

Who we are

What we collect

We only collect personal information that you give us, plus standard technical information your browser sends. Specifically:

• Enquiry and contact forms. Your name, email address, and anything you choose to write in the message. This is sent to our sales team by email so we can respond.
• Product configurator. The configuration choices you make — fixture, length, finish, control options — together with any contact details you submit with a request. We use these to prepare a quotation or specification.
• Server logs. Our web server records IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. This is standard hosting activity used for security and troubleshooting.
• Analytics. Aggregated information about how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate location, device type, referring site. See our Cookie Policy.

We do not sell anything through this website. There is no checkout, no payment processing and no customer account registration, so we do not collect payment card details or account passwords from site visitors. Staff access to our internal portal is separate and restricted to LED CTRL personnel.

We do not knowingly collect information from children, and this site is not directed at them.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations and specifications, provide technical support, maintain and secure the website, and understand which parts of the site are useful so we can improve them. We do not use your details for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the site work, and only to the extent they need it:

• Our hosting provider — stores the site and its server logs.
• Google — analytics and search performance measurement (via Google Site Kit), reCAPTCHA on our forms, and the map embedded in our footer.
• Automattic — Jetpack site services and Akismet spam filtering, which checks form submissions to identify spam.
• Our email provider — delivers enquiry emails to our sales team.

We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.

Some of these providers operate servers outside Australia, which means your information may be stored or processed overseas.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and quotation requests are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and to maintain a record of the project, after which they are deleted. Server logs and analytics data are kept according to the retention periods of the systems that generate them.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, access to systems holding personal information is restricted to staff who need it, and our forms use reCAPTCHA and spam filtering to reduce abuse. No website can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Your rights
